Futurama Season 8 Release Date

Futurama Season 8 Release Date: Official Word, Streaming Options & Much More!

The eighth season of Futurama will be revived by Hulu with 20 all-new episodes, with a launch date in 2023. Season 8 of Futurama, a reboot, will premiere on Comedy Central ten years after the first series ended to widespread acclaim.

Although Futurama first aired on Fox, it has since been broadcast on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, and 20th Century Fox, making this not the first time a different network has picked up the Emmy-winning animated dramedy. Ten years after Futurama ended, the popular animated comedy-drama has found a new home on the online video provider Hulu.

The groundwork for the Futurama relaunch was laid in the seventh season’s “Meanwhile” episode. In Futurama’s series finale, it was revealed that Professor Farnsworth had built a time machine before the program’s first episode to warp reality back to that instant if activated.

By turning on the machine, the Professor resets the timeline of Futurama to before the premiere episode, effectively allowing the eighth season to begin over from the beginning. How the reboot will be handled; however, Hulu’s 2022 episode names offer some hints.

When Will Futurama Season 8 Be Available?

The premiere date for Futurama Season 8 has not yet been set. However, Lauren Tom, who voices Amy Wong in Futurama, recently announced on Twitter that the series would return to streaming in the summer of 2023.

It is also unknown whether Hulu will release only the pilot episode, the first ten episodes, or all twenty episodes of the season simultaneously.

Who’s in Futurama Season 8 Cast?

All Planet Express regulars will return for the new Futurama episodes. Since contractual difficulties between John DiMaggio, Hulu, and Fox have been handled, and #BenderGate can be put to rest, DiMaggio’s Bender has rejoined the cast.

In addition to Phil LaMarr (Hermes Conrad), Lauren Tom (Amy Wong), and Maurice LaMarche (Calculon, Kif, and Morbo), the voice cast for the Futurama revival also includes Billy West (Fry), Katey Sagal (Leela), Tress MacNeille (Leela’s mom, Linda, Nerdbot), and Maurice LaMarche (Morbo).

Script Specifics for Futurama Season 8

The titles of the first ten episodes of Season 8 of Futurama are the only real clues to the story beyond the conclusion of the previous season. Here they are, in order: “The Impossible Stream,” “Rage Against the Vaccine,” “Zapp Gets Cancelled,” “The Prince and the Product,” “Related to Items You’ve Viewed,” “Kip Gets Knocked Up a Notch,” and so on.

Down, Parasites Regained, I Know What You Did Last Christmas, and How The West Was 1010001 are some of his well-known songs. The future of Futurama appears to hold more episodes that defy categorization. The names of the remaining ten episodes of the Futurama revival have not been announced.

How to Watch Futurama? Right now, you can watch Futurama on Hulu Plus, fuboTV, and Comedy Central.
