Today, a major acc*dent happened on I-84 in Connecticut, which caused chaos and made it hard for people to get to work. Details are still coming out, but reports say that the crash involved more than one car and hurt more than one person.

I-84 Connecticut Accident Today
Due to the closure of both lanes of the roadway due to a vehicle that overturned late Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 84 in Southington, there is a significant backup of traffic. I-84 West between exits 30 and 29, according to the State Department of Transportation, was the scene of the collision.

Due to this, I-84’s east and west sides are both closed, resulting in significant traffic jams. The DOT reports that between exits 30 and 31, the east side of I-84 is closed. As of 5:27 p.m., the DOT reported a 7-mile westbound backup and a 4.5-mile eastbound backup.
It was “unknown” when the acc*dent would be cleared when it was originally reported at 4:26 p.m. The Connecticut State Police reported that the incident resulted in “serious injuries” and advised drivers to “seek alternate routes and plan for traffic delays.”
