ABC Cancels Big Sky, Alaska Daily, and Another Drama Series

Three of ABC’s evening dramas won’t be on the lineup for 2023-2024. Friday, TVLine found out that Big Sky, Alaska Daily, and The Company You Keep were dropped by the Alphabet network.

Big Sky, a crime drama with Kylie Bunbury and Katheryn Winnick that was written by David E. Kelley, had an average of 4.8 million people and a 0.5 demo rating (with Live+7 playback) in its third season, which was 16 percent less than in Season 2.

It has the second-fewest viewers of the eight dramas ABC has shown this season, behind only The Rookie: Feds. It also has the sixth-most watchers among people who like dramas. The end of its third season, which aired on January 18, will be the last episode of the whole show.

Here we have a tweet from one of the most popular sites tvline.com about the cancellation of ABC’s Three Shows:

The first season of 11 episodes of Hilary Swank’s show Alaska Daily, which is about news, ended on March 30. The two-time Oscar winner played Eileen Fitzgerald, an investigative writer who left her high-profile life in New York to work for a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage after a fall from grace.

Her first job was to find out what happened in a cold case about the death of an indigenous woman where there were rumors of a plot.

Milo Ventimiglia played a con man who falls in love with Catherine Haena Kim’s CIA spy in the movie The Company You Keep. During the one season of the show, the couple found out each other’s secret identities.

This causes Emma to break up with Charlie and turn him into an agent for the CIA to protect his family of con artists. The season, which is now a series, came to an end on May 7.

When Live+7 playback was taken into account, Alaska Daily had an average of 5.3 million people and a 0.4 demo rating.
