“ABC has canceled the drama series “Alaska Daily,” which starred Oscar winner Hilary Swank and told the fictionalized story of an Anchorage newspaper,” the Anchorage Daily News tweeted on May 13th.

The drama aired for one season and was a high-profile acquisition for ABC when it was first announced in 2021, thanks to its Oscar-winning cast. In addition to Swank, the series featured fellow Oscar winner Tom McCarthy. The series had 5.3 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in adults 18-49 in the Nielsen Live+7 ratings until the end of April.

“Big Sky” aired for three seasons before being canceled. Season 3 of the drama series, dubbed “Deadly Trails,” premiered on the broadcast network in September. The series was based on C.J. Box’s works.

After one season, “The Company You Keep” was canceled.

The drama had a high-profile midseason debut for ABC, as it was Milo Ventimiglia’s first post-“This Is Us” TV starring role. However, the series failed to find a large following during its initial release, with the show averaging less than 4 million viewers each episode in the Nielsen Live+7 ratings until the end of April.

The sitcom, which is based on the Korean Broadcasting System format “My Fellow Citizens,” follows “con man Charlie and undercover CIA officer Emma, who is unknowingly on a collision course professionally.”
