Jamie Foxx’s daughter wants to set the record straight about how he is doing now that he has been released from the hospital. She says that her father is “recovering.”
The Oscar winner, who had a “medical complication” last month, has been out of the hospital “for weeks,” Corinne Foxx wrote on Instagram on Friday.
“In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!” she said. “Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers! We’ll also be making exciting work news next week!”
In recent years, both the father and the daughter of Jamie Foxx have been on the game show “Beat Shazam,” where the father is the host and the daughter is a DJ. The Fox network’s show said last week that Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne would stand in for the two while the “Ray” star gets better.

This week, several gossip sites said, based on unknown sources, that Jamie Foxx’s family was “preparing for the worst.” The music website Daily Loud apologized on Saturday for sharing “misinformation” about Jamie Foxx’s health.
“We unfortunately thought the source we had was real but it was not,” the statement read. “We are sorry to Jamie and his family for our actions here and continue to wish him nothing but good health.”
Corinne Foxx first told the public about her father’s health problem in mid-April. She did this on behalf of her family. “Thanks to quick action and good care, he’s already on the way to getting better,” she said at the time, without giving any more information.
