There’s a chance that a K-pop power pair just revealed themselves. After over a year of dating rumors, Blackpink’s Jennie and BTS’s V (Kim Tae-hyung) were caught on camera holding hands while taking a walk in Paris. This gave the world a hint that they may be dating.
A French photographer named Amar Taoualit put up a TikTok video of them walking in a French city. He told fans who asked that Jennie and V were the ones he saw walking along the Seine:

According to All Kpop, V made a message on Weverse soon after and said the following had been a mistake. This quickly put an end to the rumors. He asked, “Is there a way to eliminate the recommended friends list on this Instagram thing? It’s a creepy app.”
In May 2022, a picture that looked like it was taken of Jennie and V driving on a date on the island of Jeju brought the dating rumors up again. More private pictures of Jennie and V that seemed to be from that trip and showed them together in different places got out in August and September.

The agencies for V and Jennie did not deny reports that they were dating. In May 2022, Jennie’s management company, YG Entertainment, said to the press, “We don’t have anything to say about this.” We’ll let you know if we come up with a different answer.” V’s record label, Big Hit Music, did not say anything.
In October, YG Entertainment did say in a statement that it would go to court against anyone who spread private photos of Jennie. “We didn’t talk about it or make an official statement because we didn’t want to cause any more harm,” the agency said in a statement, according to Korea JoongAng Daily. “However, these private photos have led to rumors, criticism, personal attacks, s*xual harassment, and invasions of privacy.”
The agency also said it had already taken legal action against people who posted “malicious posts” or “repeatedly uploaded unproven claims.”
“The photos of Jennie that were posted online were done so without her permission and against the law,” it said. “Sharing these pictures is a form of second-hand abuse, which is against the law. Please don’t send these pictures to everyone you know.”
Jennie and V have never shared photos of each other or talked about how they might be dating. This is a pretty common thing to do, especially in K-pop. Most K-pop stars keep their romantic relationships a secret, so it’s scarce to find out that two idols are dating.
Jennie is in France to support The Idol, which will be shown for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival. Rosé, also in her band, attended the event today.
