Carlo Ancelotti’s parents, Giuseppe the cheese farmer, and his wife, had him on June 10, 1959, in Reggiolo, Italy. He and his sister, Angela Ancelotti, pitched in to help their hardworking parents on the farm whenever they could. Carlo Ancelotti Career
On January 6, 1981, Carlo Ancelotti debuted for Italy’s national team in a one-off match against the Netherlands. He also scored his sole goal in international competition. He competed for Italy at the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 1986 and 1990 World Cups.
Before retiring in 1992, he had 26 international appearances under his belt. In 1996, he was hired as the manager of a successful Parma squad and immediately instituted a strict 4-4-2 formation. He lost numerous key players because of it, notably Roberto Baggio.
Despite finishing as runner-up in Serie A in 1997, he was fired after his team was knocked out of the Champions League in the first round and finished sixth in Serie A that season. After being eliminated in the first round of the 2015 Copa del Rey, Ancelotti was fired by the club.
He might have returned to Milan but took a year out to recover from spinal stenosis surgery. In his second stint as Bayern Munich manager, he led the team to a German Super Cup and Bundesliga championship in 2016–17. They repeated their success the next season by winning the German Super Cup.
