Grant Imahara Dies at 49 Due to Ruptured Intracranial Aneurysm: A Tragic Loss

Grant Imahara, the longtime host of “Mythbusters,” passed away at the age of 49 from a brain aneurysm. The network released a statement saying, “We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant,” “He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”

Imahara was well-known for appearing on Netflix’s “White Rabbit Project” in addition to his “MythBusters” popularity. His skills in electronics helped him become well-known in Hollywood, and he just unveiled a fully animatronic Baby Yoda.

Imahara devoted his life to using his talents to make people smile, according to a statement on the Discovery website. According to the network, he created the Energizer Bunny’s well-known rhythmic beat and was one of the few certified operators for the famous R2-D2 robot from the Star Wars film series.

“I’m at a loss. No words,” Savage on Twitter. “I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend.”
