Grant Imahara, the longtime host of “Mythbusters,” passed away at the age of 49 from a brain aneurysm. The network released a statement saying, “We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant,” “He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”
Imahara was well-known for appearing on Netflix’s “White Rabbit Project” in addition to his “MythBusters” popularity. His skills in electronics helped him become well-known in Hollywood, and he just unveiled a fully animatronic Baby Yoda.
Imahara devoted his life to using his talents to make people smile, according to a statement on the Discovery website. According to the network, he created the Energizer Bunny’s well-known rhythmic beat and was one of the few certified operators for the famous R2-D2 robot from the Star Wars film series.

Adam Savage, a former “MythBusters” co-host, sent a touching comment about Imahara on social media.
“I’m at a loss. No words,” Savage on Twitter. “I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend.”
Together with Imahara, they co-hosted the shows “Mythbusters” and “White Rabbit Project.” Kari Byron and Tory Belleci. Both claimed to be shocked and heartbroken about the recent passing of their buddy and coworker.

“Heartbroken and in shock tonight. We were just talking on the phone. This isn’t real,” Bryon wrote on Twitter. She published many images of Imahara and said that they had just finished talking on the phone.
Belleci said, “I just cannot believe it,” “I don’t even know what to say. My heart is broken. Goodbye buddy.”
