Romelu Lukaku Bolingoli was born on May 13, 1993, and he now plays for Inter Milan in Serie A while on loan from Premier League club Chelsea. He is also a member of the Belgium national team.
Anderlecht was Lukaku’s first senior club, where he won the Belgian Pro League and was the league’s leading scorer in his rookie season. After signing for Chelsea for £10m (€12m) in 2011, he was loaned out to West Brom and Everton for lack of playing time.
In 2014, he signed with Everton for a then-record £28m (€32m) transfer and finished as the league’s second-top goalscorer. After that, he signed with Manchester United for £75 million (€88 million), but his relationship with the club eventually broke down, and he left for Inter Milan in 2019 in a club-record move of €80 million (£68.1 million).
He went on to win the Serie A title and be named the league’s Most Valuable Player. As a result of his return to Chelsea in 2021 for a club record £97.5 million (€115 million), Lukaku surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo as the most expensive player of all time, the most expensive Belgian player, and the seventh most expensive player of all time.
Lukaku made his senior international debut for Belgium in 2010, and he has since played in the 2016, 2020, and 2022 UEFA European Championships and the 2014, 2018, and 2022 FIFA World Cups.

The score was 1-0 against Anderlecht. After making his debut in the 89th minute as a substitute for Kanu against Zulte Waregem on August 28, 2009, Lukaku established himself as a regular part of Anderlecht’s first squad during the 2009-10 season.
He told Berend Scholten of UEFA.com, “After scoring I dived into a sea of happiness.” You imagine yourself to be superhuman, capable of anything. With 15 goals for the season, he finished as the league’s leading scorer and helped lead Anderlecht to the club’s 30th Belgian championship.
In addition, he helped the club reach the round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League in 2009-10 by scoring four goals. Despite Anderlecht ending the season with the best record in the league and Lukaku scoring 20 goals, they could not defend their championship.
