The Hollywood star, who turned 60 years old on Friday, June 9, 1963, is overjoyed to have finally “moved on” from his personal troubles, including the high-profile legal struggle he had with his ex-wife Amber Heard.
According to a statement made to People Magazine by a source:
“In the last year, he’s been able to touch all these different parts of his life that he hadn’t been able to do that much before because he was so busy dealing with the matters tied to the Heard trial.”
“It’s nice for him to be an artist first and foremost.”
In a recent interview, Depp stated that, as a result of the legal battles he has been involved in over the past few months, he has purposefully removed himself from the Hollywood entertainment industry.

During a news conference that he was doing at the Cannes Film Festival, he said:
“Do I feel boycotted now? No, not at all. But I don’t feel boycotted by Hollywood because I don’t think about it. I don’t think about Hollywood. I don’t have much further need for Hollywood myself.”
In the meantime, Camille Vasquez, who represented Johnny Depp during his court trial in 2022, recently disclosed that she is still in contact with him.
After prevailing in his legal dispute with his ex-wife, the attorney noted that Depp had enjoyed a tremendous amount of success over the course of the previous year.

Vasquez, who came to public attention during the defamation lawsuit in Virginia, told People Magazine in May that “The last time I spoke to him on the phone was probably a few months ago, but we text often.
“There’s a group of us that texts with him and we send emails, obviously congratulating him on the success that he’s had in the last year. He has a big birthday coming up, so I’m sure he’ll be celebrating.”
