Brandon Zavala, who lives in Golden, Colorado, started Apollo Peak in 2015 after working at a pet shop and realizing that there were not enough drinks for pets.
He used $4,000 from a credit card to try out different mixtures of water, natural food coloring, and catnip extract until he found the right one.
Then, he spent a month visiting pet shops to sell his new cat wine, which was a hit right away. In 2016, he started working with bigger pet stores and making 4,000 cat boxes each month.
Apollo Peak has different tastes for pets, like Pinot Meow and CharDOGnay. Prices range from $5 for a 1.8-ounce taster bottle to $16 for a 12-ounce bottle. The product is sold on the company’s website, on Amazon, and in small-town pet shops across the United States.

In the 20th episode of Season 8 of Shark Tank, Brandon Zavala tries to get the Sharks to invest in his company, Apollo Peak.
He wants to get into big-box stores and is willing to give away a 10% stake in his company, which is worth $1 million, for $100,000.
Even though the Sharks were initially suspicious because they didn’t think there was a market for pet drinks, Brandon was able to make a deal with Kevin, who offered $100,000 for 20% of the business. A deal is made at the end of the game.

Kevin’s deal fell through after the show aired, but Brandon still had a plan. Later, he started a business that makes dog wine with a base of chicken soup and anise.
