Joshua David Evans Sets the Record Straight on Colleen Ballinger in Revealing Video
In August 2019, Joshua uploaded a YouTube video titled “The Truth about everything part one.” Regrettably, he removed the video mere hours after its release.
Within its contents, Joshua expressed his intention to reveal the full extent of what transpired during his relationship with Colleen. In the video, he candidly stated:
“I’m making this video because I need to, I want to…survive. I have held my tongue for years. I’ve held my tongue more than you know, and it’s killing me. For my own sanity, I’m just going to tell the truth. I want to tell you about my life and I want to tell you about what really happened. And it might piss a lot of people off. It might piss off my subscribers. It might piss off Colleen. It might piss off people in my family. It might piss off people that I used to be friends with.”
The ex-couple initially crossed paths in 2009, and their connection quickly captured the attention and fascination of many people. When they officially began dating in 2019, their popularity soared even higher.
In his video, Joshua mentioned the significant interest and obsession surrounding their relationship.
“Some really crappy stuff has gone on. I have been living with so much anger, pain and confusion and I tired to be nice to people. I tried to hold my tongue. In her most recent YouTube video, Colleen Ballinger claims that sending underwe*r to a young fan “was a silly, stupid mistake that is now being blown way out of proportion.”
The video, which Ballinger posted to her side channel Colleen Vlogs, which has 3.06 million subscribers and receives about 15 million monthly views, responds to several complaints made by Adam Mcintyre, 17, who started corresponding with Ballinger when he was 13 and eventually worked as her unpaid social media intern.
On April 28, Mcintyre posted his own video, Colleen Ballinger, Stop Lying. He included a video from a 2016 live stream in which Ballinger unpacked a shipment of brand-new Forever 21 clothing and distributed the items she didn’t want to viewers.
A set of matching br*s and underwe*r was one of those goods. In the video, Ballinger can read viewers’ live remarks and giggle at Mcintyre’s “sassy” and “rude” tweets about how hideous the lingerie is.
“I’m sending him something,” she shares with her friend Kory Desoto, who playfully poses with the set. “Maybe he’ll want the panties. Although then his parents will be like, ‘You’re not allowed to watch her,’” Ballinger laughs.
In her video, Ballinger admits that she unintentionally forgot to send the set, which prompts Mcintyre to tweet her, asking about its whereabouts. Following that, she eventually sends the set to him, which, according to his account, greatly upset his parents.
“I sent a child underwe*r,” Ballinger says. “And wow, anyone who heard this out of context and was offended, I completely understand, because I would be, too. But in this situation, context is everything.”
Desoto was the only one to wear the underwe*r; she made it plain that it was never worn. She claims she has “always given away weird stuff, and so in my mind at the time this was no different than all the other weird stuff I’ve sent to my fans as a joke.”
A taco costume, bobby pins, dirty shoes, and most recently a single piece of toilet paper are among the other gifts she claims to have delivered to followers.
“Now, in hindsight, I see how completely stupid of me…I should have never sent that,” she says. “I don’t know what part of my brain was missing at the time where I thought, Oh, this is a normal, silly thing to do. I should have realized and recognized how dumb that was and never sent it to him no matter how much he asked. But it was never a sneaky, creepy, gross thing that I was doing in secret.”

Mcintyre’s Claims of Personal Connection with Ballinger
The accusations made by Mcintyre go beyond underwe*r. He claims to have seen two live performances by Ballinger—one in 2016 and one in 2018—and that between them, in 2017, he and Ballinger started speaking privately.
He claims he provided tweet suggestions for her iconic Miranda Sings persona throughout 2017 and 2018. Mcintyre asserts that Ballinger sought his advice in developing Twitter content because she was “aware that the Miranda character had passed its time and that she didn’t really enjoy doing it anymore because she couldn’t really be problematic.”
In her reaction video, Ballinger acknowledges using “a couple” of his tweet concepts over the two years and claims, “Since then, he has asked me multiple times if he can help me out with social media again. I always thought that was really, really sweet, but most of the time I did not engage in those conversations, until recently.”
“Recently” refers to early this year, when Mcintyre started writing new tweets for Ballinger. Ballinger granted him permission to use her account to post, saying in private conversations, “I’ve never done this with anyone. But I’m trusting you. Right now I’m considering you my social media intern. But if things go well we can talk about me hiring you part time for an hourly rate. I don’t like using your creativity and insight for free.”
Then in March, Mcintyre created the now-famous tweet about Miranda Sings “coming out” as a fan of Meghan Trainor. Ballinger, according to Mcintyre, approved the post in advance.
Still, when she started receiving criticism and accusations that she had been queerbaiting, he signed out of her account and ceased making tweets for her.
