Co-stars Michael Cera and Aubrey Plaza almost tied the knot in Las Vegas before deciding to end their engagement after the filming of “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” was over.
“We were driving through Vegas, and we almost just spontaneously took a detour and got married,” Cera revealed in a new interview with Rolling Stone released on Friday.

Cera played the title character, a youngster who must overcome a league of seven evil exes to date Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), in Edgar Wright’s cult classic “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World,” released in 2010. Plaza played Julie Powers, a coworker of Scott’s younger sister Stacey’s (Anna Kendrick), in a coffee shop.
