Spotify New Tier Plan
The premium package, code-named “Supremium” internally, will become Spotify’s most expensive option and feature HiFi audio. When Spotify first announced its plans to deliver HiFi audio in 2021, the feature’s rollout was delayed for an undisclosed reason.
The current “Premium” tier of Spotify costs $9.99 for single users or $15.99 for families. Following the introduction of “Supremium,” Spotify will provide Premium users with increased access to audiobooks via a set amount of free listening hours or titles in order to keep the appeal of this subscription plan.
The official account of Pop Base shared a post on Twitter: “Spotify is set to launch a new premium, more expensive, tier that will include HiFi audio.”

In 2021, Apple Music began to support lossless audio, and customers do not have to pay extra to access it. Lossless audio is included in every plan, with the exception of the Apple Music Voice Plan, since there are no other levels of Apple Music subscriptions.

Individuals and families can subscribe to Apple Music for $10.99 or $16.99 per month, respectively. All of the Apple One membership bundles, which cost between $16.95 and $32.95 per month, contain Apple Music as well.
Given that Apple Music costs $2 more than Spotify Premium, it is quite likely that Spotify’s premium tier will be more expensive than Apple’s competing offering. According to reports, Spotify’s new top-tier plan will go out this year, starting in non-American areas.
