Charitable Donations
In honour of South Korea’s Children’s Day, BTS vocalist J-Hope gave over $90,000 to ChildFund Korea. According to the Yonhap News Agency, J donated the money to ChildFund Korea in Seoul to support the work at the brand-new One Stop Center in Tanzania, East Africa.
For victims of child abuse, the centre provides treatment, counselling, and legal support. The fifth of May is a national holiday in Korea known as Children’s Day. In honour of the occasion, ChildFund Korea stated, “In light of Children’s Day, J-Hope donated 100 million won for the support of children in Tanzania exposed to violence,” according to Soompi.
J-Hope was recognized as a member of the Green Noble Club in 2018 for giving more than $89,000, and the year before, he gave a similar sum to support low-income children during COVID and an additional $133,800 in February; to date, J-Hope is said to have given more than $624,000 to ChildFund Korea.
