Dan Trachtenberg, the director of the movie “Prey,” has been announced as a director for Season 5 of the TV show “Stranger Things.” This news was revealed by Netflix on Wednesday morning.
Trachtenberg has previously directed the movie “10 Cloverfield Lane” and the pilot episode of “The Boys” for Amazon. He also directed an episode of “Black Mirror” called “Playtest” for Netflix.

Prey Director Dan Trachtenberg Joins Stranger Things 5
The announcement of Trachtenberg joining the show comes shortly after it was revealed that Linda Hamilton, known for her role in the “Terminator” movies, will also be joining the cast.
Other actors in the series include Winona Ryder, Matthew Modine, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Cary Elwes, and Robert Englund. The details of their roles have not been disclosed.

Netflix Renews ‘Stranger Things’ for Season 5
Netflix renewed “Stranger Things” for a fifth and final season in February 2022. However, production for this season was delayed due to a strike by the Writers Guild of America (WGA).
Despite having already written some of Season 5, the Duffer Brothers, the creators of the show, decided to support the strike. Currently, there is no confirmed premiere date for Season 5.
“We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then — over and out. #wgastrong” the Duffers said at the time in their statement.
“Stranger Things” was made by The Duffer Brothers and is made by Upside Down Pictures and 21 Laps Entertainment. The Duffer Brothers are the show’s main producers, as well as the show’s writers and directors. Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Curtis Gwinn, all of 21 Laps Entertainment, are also executive producers.
Netflix just stated that a “Stranger Things” animated show has been ordered to series. This is on top of the fact that the show is ending.
“We’ve always dreamed of an animated ‘Stranger Things’ in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling,” the Duffer brothers said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with — the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues…”
