Madonna hasn’t said much about it herself, but her constantly changing image and young look continue to fascinate fans and critics alike. Come with us as we dive into the fascinating world of rumors about Madonna’s plastic surgery and figure out the secrets behind her beauty that don’t seem to change with age.
Madonna Plastic Surgery
Two weeks after fans voiced concern over her appearance at the Grammys, Madonna appears to have revealed receiving plastic surgery in a social media post. The 64-year-old singer tweeted a photo in which she made fun of the fact that many of her followers thought she “didn’t look like herself” at the Grammys earlier this month.
She didn’t provide any additional information regarding the nature of the procedure or the timing of her surgery. At the star-studded Grammys on February 6, the seven-time Grammy winner introduced Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ performance of Unholy, but viewers were more interested in the singer’s face.
One viewer wrote:
“[I turned on the television and] it was Madonna and I had to get up and stand closer to make sure it was her.”
Another wrote on Twitter:
“What has happened to #madonna?? Is it just me or does she look like someone who looks like Madonna?”
Madonna claims that the long-lens camera she was photographed with caused her face to appear more puffy than it actually was. Madonna previously addressed issues, calling certain comments “ageist and misogynistic”.

Madonna acknowledged the rumors about her participation at the Grammy Awards in a tweet she shared on Twitter. She joked about the effects of surgery in the tweet, which included a selfie of herself: “Look how cute I am now that swelling from surgery has gone down. Lol.” Fans were curious, but she refrained from providing specifics about the treatments she had undergone.

The singer, who has been a mainstay of pop culture since the early 1980s and constantly experiments with her music as well as her image, wasn’t happy with the conversation that followed the Grammy Awards.
“Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in. A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her if she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working, and adventurous,” she wrote on Instagram after the ceremony. In true Madonna fashion, she’s going to continue doing things her way. “I have never apologized for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress and I’m not going to start,” she wrote. “I look forward to many more years of subversive behavior — pushing boundaries [and] standing up to the patriarchy — and most of all enjoying my life. Bow down bitches!”
