Is Jason Aldean Sick? Fans Seek Answers After Concert Incident!

Jason Aldean, a country music star, is healing from heat exhaustion after walking off stage suddenly and ending his Saturday night show in Hartford, Connecticut early.

Aldean was on the second night of his Highway Desperado Tour when a fan took a video of him leaving the stage while he was singing “Crazy Town” on July 15.

The Xfinity Theatre in Hartford said in a statement that the show would be rescheduled because Aldean had heat stroke during it.

Aldean shared a video to his fans on Sunday, July 16, telling them that he was feeling better after getting several IVs and that he was going to continue his tour that night in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The singer said in the video, “Man, it was hot, I was playing golf all day yesterday, and then got to the show and just, I think it was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion,”

Aldean said he wasn’t sure if he really had a heat stroke, but when he realized he wouldn’t be able to finish the show, he got off the stage to figure out what was going on. But he thanked fans for their patience as he worked to reschedule the show for Saturday night.

An update on Jason Aldean:

Cities across the country are experiencing record heat, and the National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville told News 2 that the high temperatures could affect artists who are playing in the U.S.

Even though the weather in Music City is pretty normal for this time of year, heat indices are in the triple digits in other parts of the country. Artists who go to these places may be more likely to get sick from the heat.

“You know, you have situations like Jason Aldean where he had to run offstage suddenly. He overexerted himself, the heat was too much, the humidity was too much,” NWS Meteorologist Paige Baggett said.

“They’re up there with spotlights shining on them, they’re in the heat, they’re moving around, they’re doing a lot of things, exerting a lot more energy, so if they’re for some reason, like, ‘Hey, we need to take a break,’ be patient with them, respect the fact that, hey, this show might not be able to go on because they might have a heat stroke, they could feel fatigue, they could have heat exhaustion,” she added.

Baggett told performers to take breaks between sets and pay attention to how their bodies feel. She also said that both fans and artists should be aware of the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
