Gigi Hadid has often rejected plastic surgery allegations, claiming she has “never done anything” to enhance her appearance besides makeup contouring. She has also stated that she is “terrified” of having anything injected into her well-known face.
“When I look back on my first red carpets, when I didn’t have makeup artists, I would obviously do my own makeup,” the beauty revealed on February 4, 2021, four months after giving birth to her first child, daughter Khai, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik, in a Vogue video about her skincare and makeup routine.
“Now people pull up those pictures and are like, ‘Oh, Gigi’s nose looks different in these pictures than now,’ or they’ll talk about something on my face and say, ‘That’s changed on Gigi,’ and it’s really, like, that’s the power of makeup.”
The supermodel went on to say that as her makeup abilities improved, she could change the contour of certain of her features over time.
“I’ve never done anything to my face, but the way that I’ve learned to contour in certain places, put bronzer in some places and leave it out in other places is something you have to learn,” Gigi explained. “I would just put [bronzer] everywhere and then [your face is] all one shape.”

The Los Angeles native, a student-athlete known for her volleyball talents in her adolescence, also said that she didn’t start wearing makeup until she became a famous personality.
“In high school, I wasn’t really a huge makeup person,” she admitted. “The more I got photographed, the more I learned what looked good on me. I’m gonna teach my high school self what she should’ve done.”
Gigi also stated that she has avoided fillers and injectables… yet has no objections to those who desire to use them.
“For those wondering, I’ve never injected anything into my face. I am so happy for everyone to do whatever they want that makes them happy and makes them feel more comfortable and good about themselves,” she said, before adding, “Me personally, it terrifies me. I feel I’m too much of a control freak. I’m like, ‘What if it goes wrong?’”
