“Red Lights” is a psychological movie that keeps people on the edge of their seats until the end, which leaves a lot of questions unanswered. The movie, which was directed by Rodrigo Cortés, goes into the world of investigating the supernatural and being skeptical about it.
As the story goes on, it’s about two psychologists, Margaret Matheson and her helper Tom Buckley, who try to prove that there are no ghosts or other supernatural things.

Red Lights Plot Explained
When Margaret and Silver first met, he publicly owned her and used her unconscious son against her. Tom now desires to challenge Silver. Tom is advised not to by Margaret. Tom is not receptive.
He tries to listen to radio frequencies during Silver’s show in order to bug it and imply that Silver is just acting. Electrical surges, however, thwart his endeavors, destroying his tools and injuring him.
Margaret passes away due to a cardiac condition she has been dealing with. Does this somehow link to Silver? No, he’s merely a con artist. Tom keeps up his efforts to reveal Silver.
Tom experiences a number of supernatural occurrences. Tom believes Silver is behind it but doesn’t trust the paranormal part.

Red Lights Movie Ending Explained: What Happens at the End of Red Lights?
Tom continues to see strange events around him even after Margaret passes away from her heart problem and Dr. Shackleton (Toby Jones) performs a battery of tests on Silver. Electricity spikes, birds fly into windows, and people act strangely.
Silver does his last sold-out performance before retiring in the last act of Red Lights as Sally (Elizabeth Olsen) discovers how Silver cheated. In the meantime, Tom is attacked in the show’s restroom.
Despite being seriously hurt, he makes it return to the theater where he spars with Silver verbally. Due to his extreme ego, Silver has started to believe his own hype. Tom is threatened, yet he is aware of the reality.
Since Tom is more strong than Silver, Silver is powerless to stop him. Tom watches in blood and resignation as the theater lights all burst and the building trembles. Tom then tosses a coin to Silver, who catches it in front of everyone, while the startled crowd watches.
Now that everyone is aware, Silver is a scam and is not blind. Silver doesn’t have any powers like God, but he undoubtedly persuaded someone to hurt Tom physically. The deaths of Margaret and the reporter were merely coincidences.
Then, things start to become pretty crazy. Tom has demonstrated genuine talent throughout his life. He is the real deal, in contrast to everyone he and Margaret have ever looked into. He was aware of his abilities but still looked for explanations.
Tom looked for evidence that what he could do actually existed. He stayed with Margaret for all those years for this reason. He thought he would come across someone who would validate his skills.
He apologizes to Margaret for never giving her the truth and removes her son’s life support as the movie comes to a close. The rain stops as he exits the building in the midst of a downpour, suggesting that he might possess extraordinary abilities.
