Why is Steve Mcmichael Hospitalized in ICU?

Steve Mcmichael wife, Misty McMichael, revealed that he fell into a coma that night. He had a living will stating not to be resuscitated, but Misty renegotiated that decision.

Fortunately, on Friday morning, he woke up from the coma. McMichael has been battling ALS for over three years, which has left him unable to speak or take care of himself.

Despite these difficulties, he remains a strong candidate for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, being named as one of the 12 candidates under consideration. Let’s keep him in our thoughts and prayers during this challenging time.

“We wanted to save him at any cost because he, I do believe, he’s gonna be enshrined next August, and I believe he’s gonna be around to see it,” Misty said.

“Like the tough warrior he is, he is now awake, and his vitals are better. His wife, Misty, is at his side and is asking his fans for their prayers. ‘He needs to see himself enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Please pray for him to get through this,’ Misty said,” the spokesperson added.

McMichael was a member of the 1985 Super Bowl winning Bears team and played for the team from 1981 to 1993. To demonstrate their support, supporters flocked to Silver Cross Hospital. It is extremely important to Misty.

“This wasn’t planned. This is God’s work here,” she said.

The support rally was organized with assistance from McMichael’s home town’s mayor, Christine Neitzke-Troike.

“It’s a show of support. ALS is a rough thing. We also want to support McMichael. We really want him in the Hall of Fame,” Neitzke-Troike said.

The senior committee for the Hall of Fame meets at the end of August to select up to three players from the 12 finalists for the class of 2024.

He wants to live to see this, and we just hope the Hall of Fame makes the correct decision, according to a friend, Betsy Shephard. Before the Super Bowl, the new inductees will be formally introduced.
