For a bunch of years, from 1993 to 1999, he had a TV show all about science called “Bill Nye the Science Guy.” That’s when people started calling him just Bill Nye. He also did a show on Netflix in 2017 called “Bill Nye Saves the World,” which was also really popular.
But before all that, he used to make people laugh as a stand-up comedian. He started telling funny jokes in 1978 and stopped in 1986. He also tried acting and writing stuff for a little while.
