Kyle Jacobs passed away due to an apparent su*cide, caused by a gunshot wound he inflicted on himself. In May 2023, three months after his death, the autopsy conducted by the Davidson County Medical Examiner confirmed that he died from a gunshot wound inside his mouth. The autopsy report also said that Jacobs had health problems before he died. It said, ““Adult white male with a history of pseudo seizures, gastrointestinal bleeding, elevated liver enzymes, and chronic alcohol use suffered a self-inflicted shotgun wound.”
Jacobs has been open about his own battles with anxiety and depression and has talked a lot about how important mental health is.
In 2017, he told The Tennessean, “I’ve dealt with depression and anxiety, and I’ve found that talking about it helps. It’s important to break the stigma around mental health and let people know that it’s okay to seek help.”
The fact that Jacobs had fake seizures in the past is also a sign that he may have had mental problems.
As per Healthline, even though they may seem like the seizures seen in people with epilepsy, they often point to a deeper mental issue. These could be things like PTSD, injuries to the brain, physical harm, or other mental health challenges like schizophrenia.
When the news came out, many people wrote on Reddit about how important it is to get help for mental health.
“If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or not wanting to be alive anymore, please reach out and get help,” one person wrote.
But another person pointed out how hard this can be.
“There’s always a rush of ‘if you need help, reach out!’ comments when something like this happens, but for someone struggling, reaching out is the hardest part. …Please check on your loved ones, especially the people who seem the happiest, because you just never know.”
The Controversy Behind Kyle Jacobs’ Reported Su*cide
Even though medical examiners confirmed that Kyle Jacobs’ death was due to su*cide, some people still wonder if there’s more to the story.
Shortly after Jacobs’ passing, an investigator named Tom Smith hinted at doubts by creating a public Facebook group called “Following the Kellie Pickler Investigation…” He mentioned that it’s because of the mysterious circumstances of Pickler’s husband’s death and the respect that all victims deserve.
Smith listed several reasons for his suspicions, including rumors of an affair, strange details, and more. A post on February 22nd got a lot of attention with 101 reactions, 128 comments, and six shares.
Since then, the Facebook group has grown to over 52,000 members, with ongoing discussions suggesting foul play or relationship troubles.
In a recent post, a member shared these lyrics: “One day justice will come and find you. And I’ll be right there in your memory to remind you.” They’re from Pickler’s song “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You?” The lyrics could describe how Kyle felt about their relationship.
Another user replied, “She didn’t kill him. She might have made his life hard, but she didn’t kill him. He killed himself.”
Another member said, “My heart hurts from all the negative words. Kyle was broken, and she was focused on herself, making his problems worse.”
Some feel that she didn’t pull the trigger, but her actions contributed to it. They suggest that their marriage was more like a contract that only protected her.
