The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Ending Explained
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 finale begins with a distinct perspective on the penultimate episode. A happy Conrad glides around campus after passing his final exam and entering Stanford.
He calls Steven to say “Plan Belly” is a go, but before he can shoot his shot (a callback to the famous Shoot Your Shot! boardwalk game that Team Jer even admits is cute), he finds Belly and Jer in the middle of a steamy car make-out sesh, his stomach drops, and he clears his throat to get their attention.
“Please continue. He rushes off, saying, “I interrupted you.” Jeremiah swiftly assesses the situation and begs Belly (still wearing Conrad’s Brown sweatshirt) to pursue him, the first of many embarrassingly immature moments.
Conrad accuses Belly of kissing Jer to garner his attention, but after she assures him she loves his brother, he storms off again. Belly and Jer, now self-conscious, wait outside the car for Conrad, who returns after finding Belly’s infinity necklace in his dorm room.
Conrad returns to the automobile as Mr Perfectly Fine, surprising everyone. On the way home, his theatrical indifference to Belly and Jer’s burgeoning romance gives way to a selfish, petty, immature, deeply toxic jealousy that earned him a spot on my Most Punchable TV Characters list.
Jer and Belly try to stay calm, but the backseat sibling insults interrogates, and shames them while using his Belly expertise to get inside their thoughts and prove he’s better.
