Homeworld 3 has had a really interesting journey since they first talked about it. At first, they told everyone about it in a special campaign to get money on Fig. But then, another company called Embracer Group got Gearbox, and that changed things.
They stopped the campaign and decided to keep making the game in a more regular way. After that, we didn’t hear too much about it, but they kept working on it quietly. Now, they’re saying it should come out later this year.
This is like the third game following the one from way back in 1999. The people at Blackbird Interactive are making it. They’re known for doing a great job with another game called Deserts of Kharak in 2016, which was a game before this one.
We don’t know a lot about Homeworld 3 yet, but we’ve seen videos from the people who make it and some official stuff, and we’ve put together what we know so far.

Homeworld 3 Release Date
At first, they said it would come out in the last part of 2022. Then, they moved it to the start of 2023. But then again, they moved it even more to February 2024. They said they did this so the game could be better and so the people working on it wouldn’t be too stressed out.
The company that makes the game and the people who publish it said they wanted to make sure the game is really good, just like the ones that came before it. They want to keep the quality really high.
Graphics and Sound
In terms of how the game looks and sounds, the creators have made improvements using modern technology. The spaceships will show damage from battles, the space environment looks more realistic with dark matter and nebulae, and space fights will look intense.

Gameplay
Homeworld 3 is a strategy game where you control groups of spaceships in real-time. Since space is three-dimensional, you can attack enemies from different angles. You can choose to fight directly or use clever tactics.
The way you position your fleet in space matters, as realistic physics affect your strategy. Your fleet continues from one mission to the next, so it’s important to take care of your ships and make smart decisions to avoid dangers like storms and asteroids.
Multiplayer
The game offers player-versus-player multiplayer where you can compete against other players’ fleets. There’s also an interesting cooperative mode. In this mode, you and another player team up to face a series of random challenges.
Your fleet carries over from one challenge to the next, and your goal is to make smart choices to win battles and earn powerful rewards. If you make mistakes, your fleet gets smaller, and the challenges get harder.
Platforms
Homeworld 3, a game where you control spaceships and make quick decisions, will only be available on computers when it comes out. It won’t be on PlayStation or Xbox consoles.
