Selena Gomez, a famous pop singer, is in the news because she may have broken SAG-AFTRA rules. This is a surprising turn of events. According to reports, the Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists says that Gomez may have broken rules with her latest projects.
As an accomplished singer and actress, Gomez’s alleged mistakes have made people in the industry raise their eyebrows and start talking about what might happen to her if the claims are true. The event serves as a warning that professional guilds and unions can look closely at even well-known people.
Selena Gomez Accused of Breaking SAG-AFTRA Rules
Selena Gomez is facing criticism for allegedly promoting her Hulu series Only Murders in the Building in an Instagram post. The post was then removed after several of Selena Gomez’s followers claimed that she had violated SAG-AFRTA regulations.
The now-deleted image included a tag for the show’s official Instagram account and appeared to be a video from the comedy show’s set. The caption said, “Missing and wanting.” The tweet received over 1.1 million likes in just 15 hours before Gomez deleted it from her account.

Both Gomez’s representatives and SAG-AFTRA apparently declined to comment on the situation. The SAG-AFTRA strike guidelines prohibit members from advertising their work on social media or in the media while on strike.
Gomez tagged the show’s official account in the set video even though she didn’t speak in it or ask viewers to watch Only Murders in the Building. It is questionable whether this is against the regulations. Online trolls accused her of scabbering; one described the post as “tone deaf” during the strikes.
