An altercation between the intruder and the police officers on the couple’s driveway resulted from the situation after authorities arrived on the scene. Following an exchange of gunfire, one of the cops shot and killed the invader.
It seems that the person’s 11-hour journey from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Austin, was driven by hatred toward Gavin Free’s notoriety and his romance with Meg Turney. Gavin Free and Meg Turney, fortunately, escaped the encounter unscathed because they were able to conceal and make an emergency call while the intruder was inside their house.
