What Happened to Kathy Vu?
The social media celebrity is believed to have assisted at the scene of the double homicide in Houston that Phan, 26, and Nguyen, 25, are accused of committing.
Dana Ryssdal, 35, and James Gerald Martin III’s deaths are the subject of a tampering complaint against Kathy Vu. In court, she was charged with hiding a gun and blood evidence in an effort to halt the enquiry into the killings of two men.

She is also included in the court documents as Polie Phan’s girlfriend, one of the suspects. Kathy Vu testified that James Gerald Martin III, whose body was discovered in the trunk, had threatened several people, including her boyfriend, over a debt of $40,000 from a heroin deal that had not gone as planned. She claimed that Martin had threatened Martin over the debt.
Was the TikToker Kathy Vu Arrested?
Kathy was accused of attempting to tamper with evidence by getting equipment to clean up the crime scene since she was Polie Phan’s girlfriend. “In order to help clean up the crime scene in her garage, the defendant bought cleaning supplies.
The prosecution referred to the social media sensation as “a danger to the community.” She was later granted bail in exchange for giving up her passport and agreeing to wear a monitoring device while the case was pending.
Police have named Polie Phan and Jaiden Nguyen, who both fled to Vietnam and were later brought back to the United States, as suspects in the murder after a thorough investigation of the case.
All of them, including the TikToker Kathy Vu, are being detained by the authorities and awaiting trial while being questioned. According to her prior testimony, if anything had occurred, it was likely done in self-defence.
