What Happened on Big Brother Last Night?
On Thursday night, less than an hour after it started, Big Brother’s most recent Head of Household competition—an endurance-based game known to fans as The Wall Competition—came to a finish, with Jared Fields taking the crown as the new HOH.

With this victory, Jared begins Week 7 with his second HOH victory of the season. He previously held that position during Week 5. The Wall Competition is a simple game in which participants must hold on tightly to a wall that is constantly tilting while using the fewest possible handholds and footholds to keep them upright as the wall changes, slime is spilt on them, and large balls are thrown at their body.
The last three contestants in Thursday’s round were Jared, Bowie, and Blue. Bowie abruptly leapt off the wall after Blue finally tumbled off it, leaving Jared to win the contest.
Jared’s victory follows Izzy’s eviction from the house on Thursday in an 8-1 vote (again, spoiler warning!). Before America and Cory staged a vote flip, Felicia, who had been seated next to Izzy on the nomination block all week, was expected to leave the competition. For more information, see our entire recap of Thursday’s episode.
Another well-known endurance contest, the Pressure Cooker, which hadn’t been played since Season 6, was brought back earlier this season by Big Brother. In comparison to the houseguests’ 45 minutes on the wall on Thursday, that competition lasted nearly 14 hours.
