The acting president of Temple University, JoAnne A. Epps, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, in the afternoon after losing consciousness during a memorial service.
The university said that Epps was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she was declared dead at about 3:15 p.m. She was 72 years old.
