Yuji Itadori is the protagonist of “Jujutsu Kaisen,” often known as “JJK.” Unexpected contact with a cursed artifact causes Yuji, a high school student, to be forced into a world of curses, sorcery, and otherworldly conflicts. He becomes the target of the potent and evil Sukuna Ryoumen curse.
Despite his initial lackadaisical demeanor, Yuji’s strong sense of justice and tenacity inspire him to enroll in the Tokyo Jujutsu High School, where he learns the art of jujutsu sorcery in order to defend others from curses and solve the mysteries surrounding Sukuna. His adventure serves as the series’ main theme, making him the protagonist.
Who is the Main Character in JJK?
Itadori Yuji is the main character in Jujutsu Kaisen. Itadori, a typical high school student, opens the story as he goes about his daily activities. However, he stands out since he is naturally athletic and powerful. The author has simply proved it as a fact; it is so extreme that it defies explanation. At least for the time being.
Later, after unintentionally consuming Sukuna’s cursed finger, he turns into his vessel. Through Itadori, Sukuna discovered a technique to reincarnate. He is able to master Sukuna inside and exert control over his consciousness.
As a result, it is unclear why Itadori is it and how he is able to do so. Is he supposed to be the real Sukuna’s vessel? Or, given how little is known about his family and lineage, was it pre-planned? Gege hasn’t really elaborated on it yet.
Itadori has grown physically stronger as a result of devouring more and more of Sukuna’s cursed fingers. Itadori even managed to avoid death once by forging a Binding promise with Sukuna. However, nobody in the story—aside from the readers—has yet learned of this reality.

Deutragonist and Tritagonist in Jujutsu Kaisen
The deuteragonist and tritagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen are Fushiguro and Okkotsu Yuta, respectively. It was really obvious that JJK isn’t your normal shounen manga where everything is focused on the “main character.” As the possible lead character in Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege has made it obvious that Okkotsu Yuta and Fushiguro Megumi also share the focus.
Who exactly will steal the show, though, is now just as much of a mystery. Fans believe that each of them will instead serve a crucial role in tying the plot together at one crucial juncture. Itadori is essential to the execution of Sukuna, according to the account so far. But that would also imply that he would die.
On the other side, Gojo hasn’t indicated that he plans to save Itadori when the end of the world occurs. Instead, he has focused on how he will safeguard Itadori in that situation. Given that Itadori has already eaten at least 15 fingers, it is inevitable.
1. Fushiguro Megumi
Since the beginning of the story, Fushiguro has consistently been the center of attention. Additionally, Sukuna stated that although he has the potential to be an OP character, he hasn’t yet realized it.
Sukuna has been working hard to keep Fushiguro safe in order to further his future ambitions. As a result of his equal importance to Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen, Fushiguro makes the ideal deuteragonist.
2. Okkotsu Yuta
Regarding Okkotsu, fans believe that he—and not Itadori or Fushiguro—will overtake Gojo in terms of power. When Sukuna ultimately reincarnates, he could be the only one capable of handling the situation. Okkotsu is already a powerful character who gets better with each story arc. Okkotsu Yuta is without a doubt the ideal protagonist in Jujutsu Kaisen.
