Camryn and his third-generation Filipino-American mother Jennifer are proud of their heritage. Even in 2021, she extended an invitation to one of his games to over 200 people.
Jennifer claimed in an interview that simply clutching the Philippine flag caused her to fill with pride. She grew up with her 13 uncles and aunts in a traditional Philipino family.
Others have made their homes in New York, Hawaii, or the Philippines themselves. It meant a lot to Jennifer to see them all supporting her kid in Levi’s Stadium in 2021 with their flags raised in the air, and it made her happy.
In order to help his son grow both physically and emotionally, Curtis would subject him to challenging gym sessions. The Viking safety was criticized for being very short in size, so he had to exert himself more than other players.
When he made the game-winning interception against the Jets on Sunday night, Curtis once more had the chance to showcase his Filipino heritage. The Philippine flag was draped around the 24-year-old’s shoulders as he conducted the post-game interview.

Camryn Bynum Love For His Filipino Roots
Camryn Bynum has consistently expressed his admiration for his Filipino heritage. It all becomes more significant because he is one of the few Filipino players in the NFL. When it comes to discussing their culture and representation, many people are all talk and no action. Contrast Camryn with none of them, though.
Camryn traveled to the Philippines earlier this year to aid those who had been harmed by typhoon Megi, which had wrecked the island of Leyte. On his Instagram account, he posted a number of pictures from his travels.
The island holds a special place in Camryn’s heart because it was the home of his late great-grandmother. Following his arrival in Leyte, Camryn uploaded a fun video of himself partying with a group of locals and shared it with his 30k followers.
Later, Camryn said that he was giving $5,000 to CareOrg, a charity aiding the typhoon-affected area. He undoubtedly would have influenced many young children who looked up to him in his village because of his humility and generosity.
On Sunday night against the Jets, the NFL player, who is a participant in the organization’s My Cause My Cleats program, donned his personalized cleats. The campaign enables the participant to contribute to the cause of their choice in order to improve society.
