How Did PG Meet Daniela?

When Paul George first met Daniela in 2013, she was employed at the nightclub. Even though Paul was seeing Callie Rivers at the time, he was in a relationship with Daniela. PG and Callie broke up as soon as rumors of their romance started to spread.

In 2013, Daniela eventually became pregnant. Paul first offered her a million dollars to end the pregnancy out of concern, but she turned him down. They were able to resolve their differences and moved in together in 2017.

George played for Fresno State for two years. In his first Bulldog game, he scored 14 points to beat Sacramento State. George scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a loss against Saint Mary’s the next game.

The loss apart, his one-handed slam dunk over Mickey McConnell won him SportsCenter’s top “Play of the Day” for November 18, 2008. He led the Bulldogs to an 88–82 win over Boise State on February 9, 2009, with a career-high 29 points.

The Bulldogs defeated Hawaii and Utah State in the 2009 WAC quarterfinals. He forced a career-high 5 steals and scored 16 points, but the Bulldogs lost 85–68. With a 13–21 record, the squad missed the 2009 NCAA tournament.

He led WAC in minutes played (1,176) and was second in 3-point shooting (44.7%), steals (59), and steals per game (1.74). In Fresno State men’s basketball, he had the third-best 3-point shooting %. After starting all 34 games, he averaged 14.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 steals on 47.0% shooting.

Sports Illustrated called him the most entertaining player in the West and the ninth most entertaining in college basketball in their “Top 16 Most Entertaining Players in College Basketball” list entering his second season.

He missed four games after spraining his right ankle against Utah State on January 21, 2010. After returning on February 11, he scored a career-high 30 points in a win over WAC tournament champion New Mexico State.

His team lost to Louisiana Tech in the 2010 WAC quarterfinals despite his 22 points and 11 rebounds. The squad finished 15–18 with George averaging 16.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.2 steals while shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 90.9 percent from the line.

He was All-WAC Second-Team and second in WAC free throw percentage (90.9%), steals (64), and steals per game (2.2). On November 10, 2019, Fresno State retired George’s 24.
