Since the 2014 release of the video game tie-in for Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish, Michael K. Williams, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and other movie adaptations, there hasn’t been a new “RoboCop” game. On Thursday, Nov. 2, a new game from publisher Nacon and developer Teyon will be released.
“RoboCop: Rogue City” is a first-person shooter game for the PS5 and Xbox Series X that is currently available for pre-order at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target for $59.99. The game features storylines that are tied to the original trilogy from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Actor Peter Weller actually plays Officer Alex Murphy, a.k.a. RoboCop, again in this film.
The game, which takes place in Old Detroit in between “RoboCop 2” and “RoboCop 3,” follows RoboCop and his companion Anne Lewis as they battle the Torch Heads, a vicious gang involved in the Nuke drug trade, and clean up the city of criminals.
A mysterious crime leader known only as “The New Guy” and the beginnings of Project Afterlife are other matters that the two must look into. RoboCop is tasked with issuing moving infractions and parking penalties as they happen.
You can get the Vanguard Pack for “RoboCop: Rogue City” when you pre-order the game. It has a number of previously acquired upgrades, including the Pitch Black Auto-9 Weapon and Robo’s Blue Armour Cosmetic.
