Rich Paul Wife
Adele acknowledged that she married Rich Paul, her partner of two years. The 35-year-old 16-time Grammy winner reportedly broke the news on Saturday at her longtime buddy Alan Carr’s comedic performance in Los Angeles. Two audience members related Adele’s alleged admission to the celebrity rumors Instagram account Deuxmoi.
“I was at Alan Carr’s comedy show in LA tonight and Adele was in the audience,” wrote one fan. “Alan asked the crowd if anyone got married recently and Adele shouted ‘I did.’”
“When he asked if anyone got married recently, she yelled, ‘I did,'” an additional guest told the page. It was really nice and adorable all around, but it dipped just before it ended.
“Adele was sitting right behind me with a friend having the best time. Her security only came in to bring her snacks,” they continued. “She didn’t care if people knew she was there. She was heckling him — they’re best friends.”
Who is Adele?
English singer-songwriter Adele Laurie Blue Adkins MBE, better known by her stage name Adele, was born on May 5, 1988. Her mezzo-soprano vocals and poignant lyricism are well-known. 16 Grammy Awards, 12 Brit Awards (three for British Album of the Year), an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Golden Globe Award are just a few of the many honors Adele has won.
Adele earned a record deal with XL Recordings in 2006 following her graduation from the BRIT School’s arts program. UK top-five hits “Chasing Pavements” and “Make You Feel My Love” were included on her 2008 debut album, 19, which she also released.
19 is one of the top 20 best-selling debut albums of all time in the UK, having sold over 2.5 million copies there. The Grammy Award for Best New Artist was given to her in recognition. 2011 saw Adele release 21—her second studio album.
With sales of over 31 million, it became the best-selling album of the twenty-first century worldwide. With its three hit singles, “Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” and “Set Fire to the Rain,” topping charts globally and becoming her signature songs, 21 retains the record for the best-performing album in US chart history.
It also topped the Billboard 200 for 24 weeks. Six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, were given to the album, setting a new record. When Adele released “Skyfall” in 2012, it was from the soundtrack of the James Bond movie Skyfall. Adele won an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Rich Paul’s Career
Paul joined James’ inner group after the 2003 NBA draft, along with boyhood buddies Maverick Carter and Randy Mims. He later worked for Creative Artists Agency under Leon Rose, who negotiated James’ Cavaliers deal in 2006.
Paul and James left Rose and CAA in 2012 to start Klutch Sports Group. Paul hired longtime agent and attorney Mark Termini to negotiate Klutch’s NBA deal in 2013. Termini left Klutch Sports in 2020 with 25 clients and nearly $1 billion in NBA contracts negotiated.
Later that year, United Talent Agency (UTA) invested in Klutch Sports Group and requested Paul to oversee its sports business, which grew from 4 to 23 clients. He joined UTA’s board in 2020.
Before the 2017–18 season, Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver threatened to dismiss head coach Earl Watson, who represented Paul and the Klutch Sports Group, if Paul did not cut connections with him.
Watson was fired on October 22 and replaced by associate head coach Jay Triano for the rest of the season after the Suns started 0–3, including the worst loss in franchise history and worst season opening performance in NBA history.
After a big report on Sarver on September 13, 2022, he was suspended from the NBA for a year and agreed to sell the Suns and Phoenix Mercury to a new owner eight days later. Sarver sold his team stake and some minority stakes to a new ownership group formed by Mat and Justin Ishbia on December 20, 2022, which was confirmed on February 8, 2023.
The NCAA amended its agent rules in August 2019, requiring a bachelor’s degree. The “Rich Paul Rule” was widely seen as a jab at Paul for not graduating from college and for working with high school prospect Darius Bazley, who chose to work as an intern for New Balance for a year before entering the 2019 NBA draft rather than attend Syracuse or the NBA G League.
Paul wrote in The Athletic that the rule will restrict people from lower-class backgrounds, people of color, and those without college funding from acting as agents in the future, giving NCAA officials more influence. NCAA reversed the regulation amendment.
Paul introduced “Klutch Conversations” with SocialWorks and General Mills during NBA All-Star Weekend 2020 to promote financial literacy in youth.
Rich Paul was sued by Nerlens Noel in August 2021 for violation of fiduciary responsibility, breach of contract, and negligence for rejecting a $70 million Dallas Mavericks contract offer in the offseason before the 2017–18 season. Noel settled on January 11, 2023, by paying full commissions on a $5 million deal he signed in 2020 with the New York Knicks and withdrew all legal proceedings.
