Kris Aquino Early Life and Education
Born in Quezon City, Philippines, Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino was the daughter of Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino and Benigno Aquino Jr., a senator under the Ferdinand Marcos administration.
Her siblings are Aurora Corazon “Pinky” Aquino-Abellada, former Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III, Victoria Elisa “Viel” Aquino-Dee, and Maria Elena “Ballsy” Aquino-Cruz. She is the youngest of five children.
She is the niece of former Philippine Olympic Committee president Jose “Peping” Cojuangco Jr. and the cousin of actor and equestrian Mikee Cojuangco. Her mother reared Aquino and her siblings when her father was captured and imprisoned when she was a newborn.

Kris Aquino’s Personal Life
Actor Phillip Salvador and Aquino cohabitated, and in 1994 Aquino gave birth to their first son. Following their breakup in 2003, Aquino’s relationship with comedian Joey Marquez gained significant media attention, since she revealed to Marquez that she had an STD.
On July 10, 2005, Aquino wed PBA professional player James Yap in a civil ceremony. After Yap’s adultery scandal in 2006, Aquino revealed her pregnancy the following year. James Carlos “Bimby” Aquino Yap Jr., Aquino’s second son, was born in Makati in April 2007.
Aquino filed for an annulment in 2010 and revealed that she and Yap had split up for personal reasons. The null and void declaration of their marriage occurred in February 2012.
In 2018, Aquino got embroiled in yet another public controversy after she verbally threatened to kill her former business manager, Nicko Falcis, over the phone as their business partnership was coming to an end.
