On February 25, 1949, Richard Fliehr—better known as Ric Flair—was born. He was a professional wrestler in the past and has won a lot of belts and titles. Being considered the greatest of all time in professional wrestling, Flair is that good.
Throughout a forty-year career, Flair rose from humble beginnings as an amateur wrestler to an impressive and inspirational figure. Flair is a renowned heavyweight champion who has competed in amateur events as well as world championships.

Honestly, Flair’s being alive is nothing short of a miracle. Multiple organ problems befell the Nature Boy in 2017. He had to get surgery to fix it since it was that terrible.
After he said to Von, “Well when I almost died in ’17,” the host informed him that he knew of several instances in which Flair might have died. Von requested clarification. Flair answered, “Yeah, 2017.” My intestine ruptures. I had sepsis, respiratory heart failure, total kidney failure, pneumonia.”
According to Flair, the worst aspect of his experience was the infection. He continued, “I was in a coma for 13 days.” Doctors placed Flair in a medically induced coma.
Fans began to pray and offer well wishes to him after hearing about his illness from friends and family, including his daughter, Charlotte Flair. The 14-time world champion asked followers to pray for her father on Instagram, referring to him as a fighter.
Thankfully, Flair’s health improved, and he was able to resume his normal activities and compete in the ring until 2022, showcasing his legendary abilities. In actuality, Flair retired from the ring in July 2022.
In addition, he keeps up with the most recent events in the professional wrestling scene and conducts a podcast where he discusses business-related topics. He recently made fun of WWE and criticized the organization for not knowing enough about the sport.
Ric Flair Biography
On February 25, 1949, Fliehr was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Even though he is sometimes listed as Fred Stewart or Fred Demaree on various documents, his birth name is generally accepted to be Fred Phillips. His actual parents were Luther and Olive Phillips, the latter of whom was also given credit for the Stewart and Demaree surnames.
Richard Reid Fliehr (1918–2000) and Kathleen Kinsmiller Fliehr (1918–2003) adopted him. After giving birth to a daughter who passed away soon after, Kathleen was unable to conceive, and the Fliehrs decided to adopt.
When he was adopted as part of Georgia Tann’s baby-kidnapping scheme, he was in Detroit, Michigan, finishing his obstetrics and gynecology residency through the Tennessee Children’s Home Society.

Ric Flair’s Wrestling Career
At Triplemanía XXIX on August 14, 2021, Flair made his AAA debut by joining Charlotte’s fiancé Andrade “El Ídolo” at ringside during his match against AAA Mega Champion Kenny Omega. Flair chopped Omega and applied the Figure Four leglock to Omega’s second Konnan later in the game.
At NWA 73 on August 29, 2021, Flair returned. It was his first NWA appearance since his 2008 NWA Hall of Fame induction. Flair complimented the NWA and WWE for unforgettable experiences at NWA 73 and stressed the necessity of several brands in the industry.
After nearly 50 years in the ring, Ric Flair announced his retirement on May 16, 2022, announcing his last match on July 31 in Nashville. It was announced on July 18 that Flair and his son-in-law Andrade El Ídolo would face Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.
Lethal criticized Flair for being left off the match card in the promo. After Flair rejected him and cursed his family, Jarrett attacked him. Flair and Andrade won.
Flair later admitted to passing out twice during the Last Match and regretted calling it his last. A few days later, he watched Andrade fight Carlito at the 49th WWC Anniversary show on August 6, 2022. Flair tried to stop Primo Colón but poked him, provoking Carlos Colón to attack him and leave. Andrade lost the contest.
On September 26, 2022, Flair revealed that he would never retire at his 50th anniversary in professional wrestling. He said in January 2023 that he only wanted to re-do the Last Match and not wrestle again.
