Is Chantel and Pedro Still Together?
The 90 Day Fiancé star claims that Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno’s marriage ended with some important lessons learned.
“I’ve learned that I have to put myself first, and I’ve learned to be by myself, and I’ve learned to be strong,” Chantel told ET’s Melicia Johnson on Tuesday at the 10th anniversary ceremony for the franchise in NYC. “And I’m so grateful that I had my family to lean on. I already knew they were important, but during the time that I’m really, really down, I realized how important they actually were because they were there for me.”
On May 27, 2022, Pedro filed for divorce from Chantel. A mutual restraining order was issued that same day, according to court documents that ET was able to access. Chantel listed adultery as Pedro’s cause for the divorce in her file, which ET later received. Her accusations of “cruel treatment” included “physical domestic violence, as well as mental pain.” She stated that “the marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”
Fans of The Family Chantel will see the last moments of Chantel and Pedro’s marriage in one final season. “I’m getting a divorce, and my marriage is ending,” Chantel said about ending the series with this upcoming season. “I think that now it’s time to end the show because the whole show was centered around my family and Pedro’s family quarreling. I think that it’s time, since the divorce and everything.”

He also said he felt pressured by his in-laws. “And the night we met [her sister-in-law] Angenette and [her brother] Royal, everything was perfect.”
At the time, Chantel defended her parents: “They were trying to tread lightly with this since they know how it turned out with Pedro in the past. They didn’t want to repeat mistakes. That may have been why Pedro noticed a difference in treatment of Angenette and him when he first arrived.”
