Christian Oliver Death
On January 4, 2024, Oliver and his two daughters, Madita and Annik, were killed in a private plane crash off the coast of Bequia. The plane had four seats.
Famous for his parts in Speed Racer and Indiana Jones, Christian Oliver lost his small plane near Petit Nevis Island in the eastern Caribbean on Thursday, killing himself and his two small kids.
His children, Annik Klepser, 12, and Madita Klepser, 10, were with him at the age of 51. Prior to taking a deep dive into the Caribbean waters near Bequia, the aircraft was en route to St Lucia.
Despite the best efforts of divers and fishermen, Christian, his daughters, and their pilot, Robert Sachs, were found dead at the scene, and their remains were collected. The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force reported in a statement given to media outlets that “shortly after takeoff, the aircraft experienced difficulties and nose-dived into the ocean.”
Investigations are ongoing to determine what caused the crash. Local sources state that the pilot’s final signal to the tower came shortly after takeoff when he radioed to say he was having trouble and would be returning.
The director of the movie, Nick Lyon, announced the news on Instagram on Thursday. The actor recently wrapped up filming his next project, Forever Hold Your Peace.
