Mike Vrabel is the Tennessee Titans’ head coach. Vrabel took over as head coach in 2018 and quickly improved the defense. In 2019, he had his best success, upsetting his way to the AFC Championship Game with the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he was defeated.
Vrabel began his coaching career at his alma school, Ohio State University. Vrabel left the team after four years to join the Houston Texans, where he remained until accepting the Tennessee job. Jen and Mike were both students at Ohio State. They met in class and have been together since. Jen used to be a volleyball player in high school. Jen was still in college when Mike was chosen in the NFL Draft. She didn’t miss a single home game, making the trip to Pittsburgh every Sunday.
The pair married the next year and moved to Ohio. The couple moved to Massachusetts after Mike was traded to the Patriots. Jen worked as a dental assistant until their children were born.

Mike Vrabel, Jen Vrabel’s Family
Mike and Jen married in 1999. Jen gave birth to their kids, Tyler and Carter, after moving to Massachusetts. Tyler Vrabel spent the 2022 and early 2023 seasons on the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad. In Week 3 of the 2023 season, he made his debut appearance with the squad.
He spent three seasons with the Boston College Eagles, appearing in 35 games. Tyler started at right and left tackle for the Eagles and was named All-ACC honorable mention three years in a row. He also graduated from Boston College with a degree in communications.
Jen Vrabel’s Battles With Her Son’s Learning Disabilities
Carter Vrabel was the younger kid, and it quickly became clear that he was suffering in school. Carter was subsequently diagnosed with learning disabilities, which prompted him to act out at times, particularly at Jen’s house.
Mike and Jen took their sons to attend a family counselor, who assisted them in working through issues that had arisen as a result of Carter’s difficulties. Part of the problem was that the family had to relocate to Tennessee when Mike became the Titans’ head coach.

Carter, on the other hand, graduated from high school and went on to play baseball at Wabash Valley College. He eventually transferred to Volunteer State Community College but returned to Tennessee Tech for the 2023 season to be closer to his father. In 2023, he batted.308 with the Jackson Rockabillys in the Prospect League, appearing in 23 games.
