“I was supposed to go out with a guy that night; we were supposed to go to a play, and I never made it. Your Dad and I talked forever.” On the same podcast, the Kelce brothers interviewed their father, Ed, who told the same story.
Donna remarked of their divorce, “We are friends to this day … We get along great; just sometimes, people move apart, that’s all.”
During Jason’s documentary “Kelce,” Donna and Ed discussed how they stayed together throughout their kids’ adolescence for the sake of the family. Ed noted in the film, “If we had split as we probably both would have preferred, that would have been a nightmare with the logistics, getting kids where they had to be and providing all the support.”

Donna Kelce and Celebrity Status
Donna has achieved celebrity status by frequently appearing on broadcasts while attending her sons’ games. That had only become worse when Taylor Swift was added to the mix.
Her boys are now two of the NFL’s biggest stars, and they even have their own podcast. While Jason only had one Super Bowl victory with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018, Travis has already won two with the Kansas City Chiefs.
In 2023, the duo competed in Super Bowl LVII, which became known as the “Kelce Bowl” – the first Super Bowl in which two brothers competed against each other. Travis and the Chiefs triumph in the end.

She was in Tampa Bay to watch Jason’s Eagles lose to the Buccaneers in an NFC Wild Card Game before going to Kansas City to watch Travis and the Chiefs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.
There was even a petition started before the Super Bowl asking Donna to flip the coin before kickoff.
As Travis’ relationship with Swift has grown in popularity, Donna has been asked to participate in a number of high-profile interviews to give her thoughts on the couple. Her enthusiasm for their connection seemed to have catapulted her to new heights of fame.
According to Donna, “I’ll tell you, it’s just … they’re making their own story, and I don’t even have to say anything; they’re just doing it all themselves.”
How does Donna feel about her sudden celebrity? She did, however, speak specifically about it with Today.
“Every week it’s like something new, like really? It truly feels like I’m in some kind of an alternate universe,” Kelce remarked on TODAY on October 6. “It’s just really, really strange, but it’s fun. It’s a great ride.”
