Solo Leveling Episode 3 Recap
Jinwoo woke up in the hospital in Solo Levelling Episode 3, “It’s Like a Game,” with no memory of how he got there. When Woo Jinchul visited him, he told him about the Double Dungeon’s survivors and casualties. To check if he had reawakened, they tested his Mana, but his count was still too low.
His sister Jinnah also visited him along with her friend Han Songyi. Somewhere else, Cha Hae-In was invited by Choi Jon-In to head a raid team. Jinwoo discovered that he could see a screen that nobody else could.
It made him aware that he was a participant in a system. With daily quests, awards, penalties, an inventory, a shop, and leveling up, the System was designed to resemble a video game.
It was discovered that Jinwoo’s mother suffered from an illness known as Eternal Slumber, which spread as a result of the Gates’ arrival. When Joo-Hee arrived at Jinwoo’s hospital visit, she discovered him running. Subsequently, Jinwoo’s reward was a key to a dungeon, where he battled multiple animals.
What is Solo Leveling About?
Solo Levelling involves one player leveling up alone. This is similar to what Naruto and Sasuke perform in Naruto Shippuden, much to the chagrin of everyone in the Hidden Leaf Village (Kiba, stop doing “fang over fang” again).
Solo Levelling follows Sung Jinwoo, a fantasy E-Rank hunter who wants to become an S-Rank. Hokage of hunters! Like most anime protagonists, he overcomes his mediocrity with a plot gimmick and resolve! Hooray!
The journey is long, but when you’re the only one improving and everyone else is stagnant, you’ll pass the competition—traditional tortoise-hare logic. Episode 2 ends with Sung Jinwoo and his companions stranded in the Cartenon Temple, where gigantic eerie statues start causing mayhem.
Things weren’t looking suitable for our hero until the System emerged and gave Sung Jinwoo the opportunity to become stronger or die (simple choice, right?). What’s a System? Like a mystical computer program, it chooses one “Player” and lets them level up after conquering monsters and completing objectives. Sung Jinwoo is that lucky player!
