Adrian Griffin’s College Career
Griffin started all three years of his time at Seton Hall University. He made the All-Big East second team as a senior, averaging 16.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Griffin became a member of the Seton Hall Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010.
Adrian Griffin’s Professional Career
Griffin was not chosen in the NBA draft of 1996. During the first three years of his career, he played in Italy (seven games with Cordivari Roseto from July to October 1998) and the American minor levels.
When Griffin was a member of the Continental Basketball Association’s Connecticut Pride in 1997, he was chosen for the All-Rookie First Team. In 1998, he was selected for the Pride’s All-Defensive Team and All-CBA First Team.
Griffin won the title of Finals Most Valuable Player in 1998–1999 while leading the Pride to the CBA championship. Along with being named to the All-CBA First Team and All-Defensive Team, he was also chosen as the CBA’s Most Valuable Player.
