Pre-loved Jordan shoes aren’t often worn, but Nike certainly expects these to sell well. After all, Black Toe is a rather well-liked colorway.
As some of the first-look publications have suggested, the 2024 Black Toe AJ1 shoe’s cracked white top has a marble-like quality that makes anyone who carefully maintains their Jordans wonder: are these old, or is this a new pattern? Really, it’s both.
In any case, the reversed coloring of these 2024 Air Jordan 1 remakes demands a second look at the curb. It’s almost exactly like the original Chicago colorway, which was designed in 1984 and debuted in 1985 and featured grey details on the tongue. It’s just reversed.

One Instagram commenter wrote, “I will never understand why some people would actually buy new shoes that look old and beat up.” Another agreed, saying, “This reimagined BS is getting old.”
Some sneakerheads, on the other hand, are just glad to see the Black Toe back in any capacity. One remark with more than 300 “likes” stated, “This shoe alone saves the 2024 lineup.”
Though original Air Jordans are still the ultimate holy grail, for more casual AJ1 enthusiasts, these revisions are a fair consolation reward.
The “Lost & Founds” were a fun twist on the original Air Jordan 1, even though they only marginally altered the design of the shoe. It’s not like Nike hasn’t accurately recreated previous editions of the sneaker, such as the 2021 Trophy Room collaboration and the faithful 2015 throwback.
However, the Reimagined line is very fresh, and the 2024 AJ1 Black Toe is a commendable advancement of the coloring. It’s anticipated to be released in November, just around Thanksgiving 2024, so set your alarms.
