Asahi Shimbun shared thrilling news on Friday – the Kagaku Manga Survival (Science Manga Survival) study manga series is getting its own television anime adaptation.
Since its start in 2008, this colorful manga and study book series has been a hit with readers.
Created by Gomdori Co. from South Korea and illustrated by Hyun-Dong Han, the series has grown to 85 volumes as of January 19. It cleverly weaves scientific concepts into the thrilling adventures of its young characters.
With a whopping 14 million copies circulated in Japan, it’s become a go-to for readers looking for both fun and learning.

Some of the series has even been translated into English by No Starch Press, called “Survive! Inside the Human Body.”
Toei Animation first dipped into the Kagaku Manga Survival animated world in March 2019 with a 100-second video, originally seen as a pilot movie by Mainichi Shimbun’s Mantan Web website.
Expanding on this, Toei Animation created an anime film titled “Survive! Inside the Human Body” (Jintai no Survival), which premiered alongside the Ganbareiwa!! Robocon film in Japan in July 2020.
Another film, “Shinkai no Survival!” (Survive! In the Deep Sea), made a splash in Japan in August 2021.
