Disney+ has just announced the premiere date for their upcoming anime series “The Fable,” based on the popular manga.
Fans around the world can start streaming the hitman-themed show on April 7, 2024.
This release marks the latest collaboration between Disney and Kodansha, a leading Japanese manga publisher known for famous works like AKIRA and Attack on Titan.

In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Luke Kang, the head of Disney in Asia Pacific, highlighted the increasing global appeal of anime.
He mentioned that expanding Disney’s anime offerings, especially for viewers in Japan, is a top priority.
“The Fable” will also be broadcasted on Nippon TV in Japan, but Disney+ will be the exclusive global streaming platform.

About “The Fable”
“The Fable” manga, created by Katsuhisa Minami, was a hit in Japan’s Weekly Young Magazine from 2014 to 2019, selling millions of copies.
Its anime adaptation is brought to life by Tezuka Productions, under the direction of industry veteran Ryōsuke Takahashi.
The story centers on a legendary hitman known as “Fable,” famous in the criminal world for his deadly skills.
The plot thickens when, after a year of numerous hits, his boss orders him to take a break from his assassin life and blend in with society in Osaka.
