Johnny Manziel Weight Loss
In a recent episode of Club Shay Shay hosted by Shannon Sharpe, former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel shared a personal story about his past. He revealed that after leaving the Browns, he adopted a very unhealthy lifestyle that heavily involved drug use.
This lifestyle led him to lose a significant amount of weight, about 40 pounds. Manziel’s candid discussion about his struggles with substance abuse was a key part of the conversation, approximately an hour and 43 minutes into the show.

“The coke and the oxys and the Percocet were very, very tumultuous in my life and popped their head [up], especially in the days of wandering around the Hollywood Hills,” said Manziel.
“It makes sense why you see me so sporadic. I was 210 pounds when I left Cleveland. I was 170 pounds sitting in Vegas that August, that September, October. Whatever it was later that year. How do you lose 40 pounds? You’re on a strict diet of blow!”
Manziel joked with Sharpe that he looked the same as when he was with the Browns. He only realized he had changed when he weighed himself at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Manziel was part of the Browns for two years until they released him in 2016.
Then, Manziel mentioned feeling bad for disappointing Drake and LeBron James. This was because in 2014, Drake’s group released “Draft Day,” a song inspired by Manziel.
“There’s a lot of people that I let down and I truly feel like him and LeBron, at a point in time, were people that I really, really let down,” Manziel said to Sharpe this week. In Manziel’s words, he owes them both “an apology.”
