Solo Leveling’s first season is doing great this winter 2024, with fans loving everything from how it looks to how fast the story is moving.
But, there’s one thing they wish was different – they want more episodes. Right now, there are only 12 episodes planned, which might not be enough to cover all the best parts fans are hoping to see.
A big question on everyone’s mind is whether Ashborn, a really important character, will make it into this season.
There’s a bit of hope, though. The show is adding some new stuff that wasn’t in the original story, so there’s a chance we might get to see Ashborn after all. But, nothing’s sure yet.
Will Ashborn Show Up in Solo Leveling Season 1?
Ashborn is an important character from the story’s past. He was super powerful and became the first Shadow Monarch after a betrayal.
He wanted to end a big fight and, after failing to make friends because he was too strong, decided to hide and build his army again.
Later, he chose Sung Jinwoo to be the new Shadow Monarch and taught him about the powers.
He’s talked about in parts of the story that the first season probably won’t cover if they follow the original closely.
But, the show is adding some new stuff that wasn’t in the book or webtoon, so there’s a small chance we might still see Ashborn in these new parts.

Did the show hint at Ashborn in Solo Leveling Season 1, Episode 8?
In the eighth episode, when Sung Jinwoo is about to defeat Hwang Dongsuk and his group, a song called “Dark Aria” plays. The music gets louder and more intense as Jinwoo continues to fight.
Some viewers picked up on something special about the song’s words. They think the lyrics might be what Ashborn is saying to Jinwoo when he gives him his powers.
This might be a small hint about Ashborn that not everyone caught, or it might suggest he’s going to show up later in the series.
