The Railbird Festival will Finally Live this August.
Railbird festival is traditionally a music festival that is known for sticking to the action while hanging on the rail when any contender comes down the track. For one special weekend in August, during the 2nd Annual Railbird Festival which will be held in 2 days across 3 stages. And along with all World-class artists, all will be present on one iconic ground of Keeneland.
The upcoming Railbird outdoor music festival in Lexington has brought a craze among all the music lovers and is life for now, but there are going to be some big changes. The news of the upcoming Railbird festival was announced this Friday and according to the guideline, it is required that all attendees either be fully vaccinated or have tested negative for COVID.
All the other unvaccinated attendees are required to wear a mask. Railbird festival was canceled in 2020 due to the uncertainties of COVID and pandemic and now has been scheduled for August 28-29 at Keeneland.
The vaccine requirement has increased with the transmissible Delta variant of the coronavirus which is causing an increase in COVID cases across the U.S., particularly in the South. But along with the news of the music festival, Lexington reported 117 new cases of COVID on Thursday as health officials warned the city is on the peak of a new wave.
Musicians launching the music festivals recently announced various changes for the bookings Garth Brooks said that he would pause ticket sales for his stadium tour and Jason Isbell has made a request that fans attending the concert be vaccinated and masked. As of now, Railbird Music Festival has not announced any major changes to its schedule of the concert, which also includesIsbell as well as headliners My Morning Jacket, Leon Bridges, and the Dave Matthews Band.
All across social media platforms and through Emails, an update was sent out on Friday morning, Railbird had asked its fans to bring masks but at this time they are not requiring masks to be worn by fully vaccinated people in outdoor spaces at the festival. It’s still not clarified if fans are required to wear masks inside the bourbon and culinary experiences, which are going to be held indoors.
Fans are also required to bring along a printed copy of their COVID vaccine record or a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 test result that should have been done within the last 72 hours, also showing the date of the test. If anyone is tested positive within the 14 days or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive of the festival they are asked to stay away. Railbird also mentioned that the policies \will be updated and all the details will be posted on the official website, Railbirdfest.com.
Just like Railbird, all the other music festivals have used similar guidelines which also include RiotFest in Chicago and Sea Hear Now in New Jersey, these two are being scheduled for September. Chattanooga’s Moon River Festival, another festival similar to 6to Railbird, also announced the same protocol on Friday. Bonnaroo, AC Entertainment’s biggest festival in which there was going to be a minimum of 80,000 attendees who camped in Manchester. They are yet to announce any update about the changes needed.
