The Jacksonville Jaguars mascot, Jaxson de Ville, is considered the most entertaining and, it is safe to say, the most daring mascot.
Jaxson de Ville usually begins games with a backflip using a bungee cord. Well, he has been landing midfield, and the crowd gets electrified and wild. But, it was not the case this time around.
Just before the kickoff, Jaxson de Ville took the risk, the way he has been doing throughout this season. However, to his disappointment, he got stuck and had to be lowered into the stands on the Westside section 400 for the sake of his safety.
It must have been upsetting for the entertainer of the mascot’s fans as he has been doing this stunt for more than a decade now. Not to mention, he traveled to London to do this as well.
The Perennially Saddest Franchise
The Jacksonville Jaguars have a truly questionable performance. They have made it to the NFL playoffs just once in the last 14 seasons. The No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence and coach Urban Meyer coming to the NFL fed some hope to all.
However, things have not been well for Jacksonville since the very moment the campaign kicked off. Not news that this time again, Jacksonville is one of the worst teams in the NFL, not at all surprising.
The only sunshine Jacksonville can always count on is their thriller-bungee-jumping mascot. Well, we all know how that turned out as well this season.
Atlanta Falcons Versus the Jacksonville Jaguars
The complete opposite of what was expected might have become the laugh of the season. However, maybe it gave the sign, which served as an omen right from the beginning of the game.
Because the Jaguars lost once again in a 21-14 game to a Falcons team, the Falcons team were the losers of three out of the four games that it played. Well, now, all thanks to Jags, is a victor.
Lawrence and his performance have been promising but, he cannot be the knight in the shining armor for the franchise. He cannot be the savior all on his own without help from the team.
The strategy for next season is not clear yet. Maybe a new head coach or another high draft promising pick. Whether or not Meyer comes back as the coach next year, the Jaguars need to step up, get to their mascot’s level as one team.
Maybe the everyday disappointing and worsening performance is the reason Jaxon de Ville risks his life for earning some cheers and applause from the crowd. Things turned out to be scary this time. However, Twitter is flooded with videos and pictures of the mascot, everyone making fun of it, getting a good laugh.

Jaxon de Ville deserves a standing ovation for being the enthusiastic mascot that he is, for well, such a dispiriting franchise.
Let’s hope and pray for this team for the next season.
